REVIEW:
How can you be mad at an album, which starts with, “I’ma
eat your body out” in the first chorus of the first song on
the album? Well looking beyond the obvious reason a female may
initially be cajoled into having some sort of warm feelings in
association with this album. I will try to look past
that to actually reviewing this album based on its merit.
This
whole album seems to be about sex in one way or another; I am
not picking up a great deal more than that. The intellectual
level of content on this album is something I think that people
beyond the age 18 won't be able to appreciate, which makes me wonder,
how old are they anyway. I don’t see anything that they offer
which is different or has not been easily surpassed by more
qualitative R&B Crooners.
Some of the songs are just painful to
listen to, because their voices are not refined enough to try
and get away with the lyrical delivery they are attempting. For
a painfully obvious example listen to Track #08... They also
make an attempt at being hardcore on Track# 09. Grill Em, it’s
just not believable.
This album is filled with clichés and
this Hip-Hop / R&B thing they keep trying to pull off is
just not working. The rapper is horrid at best and his flow
sounds like he’s slowed down in a very un-natural manner. At
this point I am at a loss for what these guys bring to the game.
Time to go back to development Pretty Ricky!
Hope they come with something more
qualitative in their next offering if there is one.
